3 quick questions with Eric Johansson

Three quick questions with Eric Johansson, who comes from the management consulting firm Analysys Mason and is joining New Republic's Stockholm office as a consultant.
What will you bring with you from your previous experiences?
I have worked extensively with issues relating to the implementation of new regulations that affect everything from trade to manufacturing, but also a lot with regulatory burdens and the business climate from a business perspective. I also bring with me experience of strategy work in the tech and defense sectors and policy development in the energy field.
Why New Republic?
New Republic has a broad and growing portfolio of exciting clients in several sectors that are important to Sweden's future in various ways—energy supply, education, innovation, mobility, and fintech, to name a few. It is also a workplace with wise, knowledgeable, and socially engaged colleagues from whom you learn a great deal by working with them.
What trends and opportunities do you see in the coming period?
Sweden's adaptation to completely new requirements for defense and preparedness capabilities creates many concrete opportunities. Our NATO membership means that decisions on infrastructure and major investments, among other things, can be made more quickly than before. At the same time, the challenges are becoming more numerous and more difficult to navigate for our clients, for example in terms of security aspects. I look forward to contributing to our teams working on these issues.
