Do you want to influence politics, society and business, while learning more about strategic communication and advocacy?
New Republic is a public affairs agency that works with strategic communication and consulting. Our assignments range from pushing through specific legislative changes or increasing the general understanding of an industry's social benefit, to creating greater visibility for an individual brand or helping authorities formulate and disseminate social information.
What is public affairs?
Public affairs is about influencing decision-makers and public opinion through strategic advice and communication efforts. Public affairs brings together politics, economics and communication to influence, shape and contribute to positive social development. As an intern with us, you will:
Gain insight into the political decision-making process: You will follow and analyze political decisions and events that affect our clients.
Develop your communication skills: You will have the opportunity to develop and implement various communication activities that contribute to opinion formation.
Conduct media analysis and research: You will learn how to use our media archives and research tools to monitor and map current public policy issues.
Learn from experts: Our teams are made up of experienced and committed public affairs consultants, with diverse backgrounds in politics and society, who are happy to share their knowledge.
Participate in: Internal development activities, advocacy and communication trainings and external events.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who are at the end of their studies, for example in political science, communication, economics, sustainability or law. You have good analytical skills, are good at expressing yourself in both speech and writing and are used to working in the Office package. We would like to see that you have a strong interest in politics and the current social debate. Previous volunteering experience is an advantage.
